Colorado WIC Food List

Colorado WIC food benefits are loaded onto an eWIC card accepted at authorized grocery stores and retailers statewide. Your monthly food package depends on your participant category โ€” pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum, infant, or child โ€” and is determined at certification based on a nutrition and health assessment. The current food list is effective March 1, 2026, with a separate yogurt list effective March 31, 2026. New foods are added each March and September. Use the WICShopper app or the Colorado WIC Food List and Shopping Guide at coloradowic.gov/wic-foods-list to confirm products before purchasing.

Your eWIC Card and WICShopper App

Set a 4-digit PIN before using your card for the first time โ€” do this online at ebtedge.com or by calling 1-844-234-4950. Benefits load at 12:01 am on the first of each month and expire at midnight on the last day of the month. Unused benefits do not carry over to the following month.

Download the free WICShopper app from the App Store or Google Play. During setup, select Colorado as your WIC agency, then register your eWIC card using the 16-digit number on the front. In the store, scan any product's barcode to instantly confirm whether it is WIC-eligible. The "My Benefits" screen shows your current balance by food category. You can also check your balance at ebtedge.com, call 1-844-234-4950, or review the bottom of your last WIC shopping receipt.

Coupons, store loyalty cards, and buy-one-get-one offers may be used alongside your eWIC card. Substitutions are not allowed โ€” you may only purchase foods listed on your WIC benefits. If a package size you choose is smaller than your full benefit amount, any remaining balance for that food category is lost at month-end; stores do not carry every package size needed to use every remaining ounce.

Fruits and Vegetables

Colorado WIC provides a monthly cash value benefit for fruits and vegetables โ€” the amount is shown on your WIC benefits list or in the WICShopper app. Any brand is allowed.

WIC Farm Vendors and Farmers' Market Note

Colorado WIC authorizes individual farmers and farm stands to accept eWIC benefits for fresh fruits and vegetables. Your monthly fruit and vegetable benefit can be used at any WIC-authorized farm vendor โ€” find the list of currently approved vendors at coloradowic.gov/farmers. Farmers must apply to the program each year and are approved on a rolling basis.

Note: the federal Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) โ€” which issued separate paper FMNP coupons distinct from eWIC โ€” ended in Colorado after the 2024 season. The eWIC benefit at approved farm vendors is a separate, continuing program unaffected by FMNP's discontinuation.
