The WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program aims to help low income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women and infants/children by providing healthy foods, nutrition education and health care referrals. The Federal government provides grants to assistance in funding this program but the state agencies handle the WIC program at the state level.

This includes determining eligibility, WIC approved food list, vendors that are approved to sell WIC food items and WIC Clinics for participants to get help, apply for benefits and distribute the WIC checks/vouchers or in some states, WIC EBT (Electronic benefit transfer) Cards. The goal at WICProgram.net is to provide information about the WIC program in each state to help you quickly and easily find the information you are looking for. This includes the process on how to apply for WIC benefits in each state, what WIC foods you can purchase, the income requirements for WIC and frequently asked questions about WIC.

If you are applying for WIC benefits in your state and need to find the nearest clinic to schedule an appointment, then browse our list of WIC clinics throughout the United States. If you need to go shopping and are looking for a WIC approved store near you, then browse through our list of WIC approved stores throughout the US.

If you have questions or issues about WIC and cannot find the answer on WICProgram.net, then we recommend contacting your local WIC Office for further assistance.
