Nevada WIC is administered by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public and Behavioral Health. The program serves tens of thousands of participants across the state and is delivered through county health departments, community health centers, and community-based organizations in urban and rural Nevada alike. The statewide WIC hub for participants is nevadawic.org.
Community-Based Organization Delivery Model
Nevada is distinctive in delivering WIC through a wide range of community-based organizations in addition to public health agencies. Organizations including Three Square Food Bank in Clark County, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, Nye Communities Coalition, Community Health Alliance (which operates a WIC Mobile Clinic), and various family resource centers all run WIC programs. Families can choose whichever participating provider is most convenient — and all programs are open regardless of citizenship or immigration status.
The Nevada WIC CARES Shopping and Delivery Program
Nevada developed a WIC grocery shopping and home delivery program during the COVID-19 pandemic using CARES Act funding. The program enlisted community partner organizations — including Three Square Food Bank and Catholic Charities — to shop for WIC-approved foods on behalf of enrolled families and deliver them to the home or a convenient location. Shopping was verified using the WIC Shopper app to ensure only eligible items were purchased. As CARES Act funding has ended, availability of this service varies by local agency. Contact your local WIC clinic to confirm whether shopping and delivery assistance is currently offered in your area.
WIC Mobile Clinic
Community Health Alliance, one of Nevada's WIC community-based organization providers in northern Nevada, operates a WIC Mobile Clinic that visits schools, nonprofit organizations, welfare departments, and community sites — extending WIC access to families who cannot reach a fixed clinic location.
Public WIC Data Dashboard
The Nevada DHHS Office of Analytics maintains a public-facing WIC Data Dashboard updated regularly with participation figures, food redemption data, and other program analytics — one of the more transparent public data tools offered by any state WIC program. Access it through dpbh.nv.gov or via nevadawic.org.
Access Nevada — One-Stop Benefits Portal
Nevada's unified benefits portal, Access Nevada, is available at accessnevada.nv.gov. Through Access Nevada, residents can apply for Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, and other state assistance programs from a single entry point. WIC enrollment requires a separate certification appointment at a WIC clinic, but Access Nevada can help families connect with multiple programs at once.
Tribal WIC Programs in Nevada
Nevada has 27 federally recognized tribes — more than any other state in the contiguous United States. Many tribal members access WIC through the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada (ITCN) WIC Program, a federally funded Indian Tribal Organization (ITO) WIC agency that serves members of multiple Nevada tribes. Tribes with populations served through ITCN or tribal WIC programs include the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, Walker River Paiute Tribe, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, Las Vegas Paiute Tribe, Moapa Band of Paiutes, and Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone, among many others.
Tribal members who receive benefits through the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) are automatically income-eligible for WIC — no additional income documentation is required. Contact ITCN or your tribal health program directly for information about WIC services available through your tribe. Nevada state WIC clinics are open to all eligible Nevada residents regardless of tribal enrollment or location.
Income at or below 185% FPL. Automatic eligibility with Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF.
Monthly food benefits loaded to your WIC EBT card plus nutrition education and breastfeeding support.

Income Limit Overview
Nevada WIC uses the federal income guidelines set at 185% of the Federal Poverty Level. For a household of four, the monthly income limit is $4,957 ($59,478 annually) for the current benefit year (July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026). The full table below shows limits for all household sizes.
Pregnant Women Count as Two
Nevada WIC counts an unborn baby as a household member when calculating household size. If you are pregnant, add one to your household count — or more if expecting multiples. This increases the income threshold that applies to your family.
Automatic Income Eligibility
If your household currently participates in any of the following programs, you are automatically income-eligible for WIC — no additional income documentation is required:
- Medicaid — Nevada's Medicaid program
- SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program / food stamps)
- TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
- FDPIR (Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations)
Bring your current benefit card or enrollment documentation to your WIC appointment. That documentation replaces income verification entirely.
Income Documentation if Not Auto-Eligible
If your household does not participate in any of the programs above, bring documentation of all household income — current pay statements showing wages, commissions, or fees. If you do not receive any income, you may complete an affidavit at the WIC clinic stating that you receive no income. If your income is seasonal or irregular, WIC staff can advise on acceptable documentation.
Nevada WIC does not ask about citizenship or immigration status. Participation in WIC will not result in deportation, denial of entry, or denial of permanent residency status. Receiving WIC benefits does not affect immigration status or the ability to become a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
