Fruits and Vegetables
All participants receive a monthly Cash Value Benefit (CVB) for fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables without added sugars, fats, or oils. The current monthly CVB is $26 for children, $48 for pregnant or postpartum participants, and $52 for breastfeeding participants.
Whole Grains, Dairy, and Protein
Approved options include 100% whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, corn and whole wheat tortillas, and oatmeal; low-fat or non-fat milk and yogurt (whole milk yogurt for children age 1); cheese; eggs; peanut butter or dried and canned beans; and canned fish such as tuna and salmon for women and children age 2 and older. Items must match the brands and sizes on your current WIC food list — check the WICShopper app before you shop.
Infant Foods
Formula-fed infants receive infant formula; breastfed infants receive an enhanced food package with more fruits, vegetables, and protein. Iron-fortified infant cereal, jarred infant fruits and vegetables (or a produce CVB), and jarred infant meats for fully breastfed infants become available starting at 6 months.
