Oklahoma WIC is administered by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) but delivered locally through more than 80 county health departments, the independent city-county health departments in Tulsa and Oklahoma County, and several tribal WIC programs operated by Oklahoma nations — together reaching families in all 77 counties.

Who WIC Serves in Oklahoma

WIC is open to people who are pregnant, up to six months postpartum (or up to a year if breastfeeding), infants, and children up to their 5th birthday. WIC also provides breastfeeding support, one-on-one nutrition education, and referrals to other programs like SoonerCare (Oklahoma's Medicaid program) and SNAP. Staying Enrolled

Recertification timing follows federal guidelines: pregnant participants are certified through delivery, breastfeeding participants for up to a year postpartum, non-breastfeeding postpartum participants for six months, and children every six to twelve months until age five.
