The Fruit and Vegetable Benefit (CVB)

Every participant receives a monthly Fruit and Vegetable Benefit — Maryland's name for the Cash Value Benefit (CVB) — to spend on fresh, frozen, canned, or dried produce at authorized grocery stores. For the current benefit year, the monthly amount is $26 for children, $48 for pregnant or postpartum participants, and $52 for breastfeeding participants. Benefits do not roll over month to month, so use them before the end of each benefit period.

Farmers' Market Benefits

Maryland WIC participants have access to two separate streams of farmers' market benefits. The eFMNP (Farmers' Market Nutrition Program) issues eligible participants annual electronic benefits — no paper coupons — redeemable at authorized farmers' markets and farm stands during Maryland's growing season. Separately, your monthly Fruit and Vegetable Benefit can also be spent directly at participating farmers' markets.
