Wyoming WIC Approved Foods
Updated September 2026
Once you're approved for Wyoming WIC, your benefits are loaded monthly onto a WIC card that works like a debit card at authorized stores. Here's what's covered, how to check whether a specific brand or item is approved, and how the cash-value benefit for fruits and vegetables works.
Quick Answer
Wyoming WIC covers the same national food categories as every state — milk, eggs, cereal, whole grains, fruits and vegetables (via a cash-value benefit), juice, beans, and infant formula — but the specific approved brands, sizes, and quantities are set by the Wyoming Department of Health. See the full Wyoming list below.
Approved WIC Foods in Wyoming
Wyoming WIC food benefits are loaded monthly onto an eWIC card that works at authorized grocery stores statewide. The eWIC system automatically identifies approved items at checkout, and the free WIC Shopper app helps you check your balance and confirm whether a specific product is approved before you shop.
Fruits and Vegetables (Cash Value Benefit)
Every participant receives a monthly Cash Value Benefit (CVB) — the amount loaded onto your eWIC card specifically for fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables without added sugar, fat, or oil. For the current benefit year, the monthly CVB is $26 for children, $48 for pregnant or postpartum participants, and $52 for breastfeeding participants. Benefits don't roll over month to month, so use them before your benefit period ends.
Whole Grains, Dairy, and Protein
- Whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, corn tortillas, and oatmeal
- Milk (low-fat, non-fat, or lactose-free) and approved soy beverage alternatives
- Cheese and yogurt, in specified sizes and varieties
- Eggs, peanut butter, and dried or canned beans
- Canned fish for breastfeeding participants and children
Infant Foods
Formula-fed infants receive iron-fortified infant formula, with flexibility for specialty formulas when medically documented. Breastfed infants receive an enhanced food package that includes more fruits, vegetables, and other foods for the breastfeeding parent. Infants 6 months and older receive iron-fortified infant cereal and jarred fruits and vegetables.
Shopping Tips
